Various Construction Projects by Terry Coe

Nova Scotia Cottage - Current Build

This 1000 square foot new home, Stik, is located on Hell Bay on the Atlantic ocean 20 minutes south of Lunenburg, NS. Although small in size, this house has been designed to perfection. Some of the flawless details include polished concrete floors, organic roof, Corten (rusted steel) panels on the interior and exterior, ipe decking, white oak and sapelli wood windows.

Fairview Renovation

In 2009 we completed a project in the Danforth Ave/Broadview area of Toronto for a family of 4. It entailed a gut renovation of an Arts and Craft style 3 storey home. This house was rebuilt with architecturally correct details including plaster crown molding and rope detailing on the living room ceiling, true divide windows, square cut stair spindles, leaded and stained glass windows, 3 restored original fireplace mantels, and beamed dining room ceiling to name a few. The modern elements added to this home included 2lb spray foam insulation, energy efficient thermal pane windows, home automation sound system, and solar hot water system supplementing the domestic hot water, radiant floors and forced air gas heating. This house is truly one of my favourites. I am always proud of it every time I walk through the door.

Victoria Park Renovation

This main floor renovation was a very contemporary project. Designed by Connie Braemer of Braemer Designs, the walnut floors, cold rolled steel fireplace mantel, 11’ blizzard white heated kitchen island, and stainless steel kitchen cabinets make this project a huge success.

BALSAM AVE – TV SHOW RENOVATION

Designed by Daneille Bryk for the television show A Bryk at a Time, this family of 6 wanted an upscale basement retreat to accommodate all their movie night needs. A wall made of reclaimed wood, ethanol fireplace, granite topped kitchenette, spa bathroom and home theatre system complete with “invisible” speakers certainly shocked the clients on reveal day!
